This story has Tom saving another beast. This time it is Sepron the Sea Serpent. In this book Sepron is making tidal waves and causing destruction in Avantia. Tom and Elena, along with their animals Silver the wolf and Storm the horse travel to the Western Ocean to free Sepron. This time Tom uses the end of his sword to unlock the the collar around his neck.
Sepron gives Tom a serpent tooth which will protect him from water.
